Procrastination

Why is it that some days I am so GO GO GO get it done. . and some days. . I just don’t want to do anything.  I think today it has to do with the weather.  It’s gloomy outside and that is just kinda how I feel right now.  I need to finish painting the trim in my dinning room. . but I just don’t feel like it!

Now if I sit here and don’t do it, I won’t want to do anything else because I will feel guilty about not painting!  I can’t say I haven’t done anything today though.  We had to make trays at the deli, and I just got home.  I actually filled in 3 holes in the backyard that Shelby dug yesterday.

I guess I better just go do it and get it done!

Peace Out,  Kittie

The Nerve of Some People

So I was  at the local Gordon Food store today picking some supplies for the Deli.  I witnessed a very sad sight.  There was a woman in the store with 3 young boys.  I would guess they were between the ages of 4 to 9.

I don’t know if you have ever been into a Gordon Food Store, but they usually have samples of their products set out all over the store for their customers to taste.  They also have coffee and punch at the front of the store for their customers to try.

Now I am going to assume that the three children were not paying customers.  Each of the three boys had a 6 inch round plate full of food samples.  I am talking piled high with food samples.  They were following their mom who was telling them to take some of all the samples.

Now when they got to the front of the store, she had them each get a glass of the punch, and then told them to go and sit down on the bench in the entryway to the store.  As they did this she picked up a bag of bacon crumbles and headed to the cashier.

She was behind me in line and I couldn’t even turn around and look at her becuase I knew I would end up saying something.  So I paid for my items and headed out of the store.  As I walked past the 3 boys I just couldn’t help myself, so I asked them “Does Mommy take you to Gordon Food for lunch often?”   With their faces being stuffed all three boys shook their heads yes with smiles.  I said not another word and left the store.

Now, don’t think this woman was poor and just trying to feed her kids.  She was driving a very large, shiny new SUV, and all the boys had brand name shoes on and were all dressed very nicely. They were clean looking kids too.

Why would someone do something like this?  I mean. . I can understand letting your children sample the brownies or something like that, but a whole plate of food each?  And then you only spend $5.00 in the store?  Come on!

Anyway, that is my Rant for now.

Peace Out,   Kittie
